The ENG Kenya Bench Media Project

ENG Kenya has installed numerous bench media in the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi.

Inline with ENG’s strategy to invest in the region, Emirates Neon Group has collaborated with the City Council of Nairobi that is the Governing body of the Kenyan Capital to install benches throughout the Green city as a community initiative.

Nairobi city with its unusual greenery amidst global urbanization drive now witnesses a facelift through this new joint venture.

Besides the community cause, Bench Media as an outdoor media advertising vehicle has garnered acclamation from clients and agencies; the bench media is a novel concept in Kenya and the innovative product line has created a rejuvenation in Kenya Advertising industry which uptil now was experiencing stagnancy in new advertising opportunities.

The aim of Emirates Neon Group to serve the Kenya market with products offering the best value proposition ensures a win-win situation where the clients are assured with a positive return on outdoor advertisement.

The benches positioned strategically in the prime locations of Central Business District of Nairobi and along the sideline of Uhuru highway, and Kenyatta Avenue ensures a good exposure level as the passenger mobility is high in these areas.

The back rest panel is designed ergonomically with optimized angle of inclination, which not only ensures for a comfortable seating but also structures a proper visibility factor for clients artwork which can be applied on the advert area (1.8* 0.6 Mtr).

Historically the small format structures which are arranged as a close knit circuit will ensure relatively higher ad recall and will aim to influence the buyer’s decision making process by its repeat exposure till point of purchase.

As these benches are arrayed along the dense mobility area of pedestrian mass and slow moving automobile traffic; with every dollar of investment the advertiser is ensured with higher number of exposures than any other medium existing inside the Central Business District (CBD) in Nairobi.

About Emirates Neon Group!

The Emirates Neon Group is an international company that has come a long way since its modest beginnings in the United Arab Emirates in the mid 1970s. The Emirates Neon Group slowly evolved into the thriving business it is today.

ENG was established in 1976 by Mr. Muhammed Hanif Merchant. At the time, Emirates Neon Group had only 27 employees and was known as Emirates Neon because its primary focus was on crafting neon signs.

More than a decade later, after forging a contract with Emirates Petroleum, Emirates Neon opened a branch office in Abu Dhabi and other places in the Emirates region.

In 1990, as technology progressed, ENG was able to install a Tri-O-Vision unit, an electromechanical sign with rotating segments that has the ability to display three advertisements. That same year, Emirates Neon Group also established a separate division for outdoor advertising.

Seven years later, Emirates Neon Group inked a contract for a unipole billboard advertisement on the Sheikh Zayed Road Highway and Al Ain Highway.

In the late 1990s, ENG instituted a division to accommodate print advertising and later installed an ultra-bright LED sign.

ENG continued to grow and establish new products, including digital ambient media, which brought new opportunities for business.

Toward the turn of the century, Emirates Neon Group got into the traffic sign business in the UAE and parts of the Middle East.

The next few years opened many doors for ENG, including joint venture deals and a journey in to the world of television advertising. ENG’s latest accomplishment was making a name for itself in print and broadcasting media.

The year 2007 was a big year for ENG – the company extended its international reach by opening up offices in the UK, Pakistan, East Africa and China.
